If you have removed you battery and now you eclipse won't idle and it did before the battery replacement, then you'll need to do this. Clean the complete trottle body. The reason for this is, The computer adjust the trottle position sensor and the IAC sensor when carbon builds up. So when you remove the battery, the computer goes back to the factory default settings. You can start it and drive it many times before it relearns, which takes a lot of time, or you can clean the trottle body and the computer will read the sensors back the way the factory specs where set. It really works well. Just go to your local parts store and purchase trottle body cleaner, remove the hose going to the trottle body and spray it clean. crank your car and let it run for about ten minutes, and that should fix your problem. If it don't repeat the cleaning process.

Or, just wait for the ECU to readjust itself back. Everytime I dissconnect the battery and start the car, it dies twice. Idle is a little rough, but then goes fine. It's done this on a filthy and clean TB. My TB is constantly clean nowadays. When I was installing my alarm, it wasn't. It was constant battery on and off. It's always been the same. Anyone else?
