I wouldnt suggest 93 for a stock car unless thats what it calls for. With nitrous you must be a fool to run anything lower than 93 though lol. 93 is all my car will see.

The mod motor SVTs have to run 93 stock
I am not sure about the Focus, Contour, or 5.0 Cobras and first gen L

something perhaps overlooked here: I just run good ol' 87 because all my '93 GT has to do right now is get me from home to work and back to feed the wife and little ones. But for those of you running higher I offer this: wouldn't it be cheaper and yield just as much boost if you bought some octane booster and then filled your tank with 87? I haven't priced a bottle of booster lately but I used to go that route when gas was half the price and I still thought I was saving money.

A good bottle of octane booster isnt going to turn 87 into 93 by any means. Not on a full tank.
Mr. Luos

Even a good bottle of octane booster isn't actually a good bottle of octane booster.

plus if used frequently, over a long period of time, the octane boost can kill your spark plugs, and possible the coil

I use 87 in my 9.5:1 302 with aluminum heads and 12* advance. Hell, since regular spiked up to $3.00+, I put it in the SVO too. Thats right, 8:1 with 10psi on regular unleaded(14 on 91).

if it is capable of taking regular then your wasting your money with 91. 87 is more explosive...
