ok, I can only have one vehicle and I am going to buy a 03 400 EX soon but need a way to transport it, but I want an integra, not a truck. I have had an integra before and have missed it bad ever since the day I watched it back out of the driveway. I have acces to a welder and was thinking of making a hitch that welded to the frame behind the rear bumper. weld a mount underneath and then weld up the rest of thew hitch that fits to the mount and attatches with a few bolts so it can be easily removed when im not towing. the hitch will drop down below the bumper of the car, extrend outwards from the car and then come back up to the level of the trailer tongue. I am sure I can get something lie this to work but my main concern is this.
Is a integra LS with 130K miles on it and intake headers and exhaust have enough power to haul 2 people, luggage, and a 400 pound 4 wheeler on a trailer over mountains. like the grapevine or the sisques?
I will bve towing the quad to mexico from washington, wil my car always overheat or wil;l it make it fine?

you dont gotta laugh, but It will be over 400 pounds because there is the trailer also. Also, what part of it dont you think will work? do you think it doesnt have the traction?, the brakes to stop it? is it not heavy enough? I mean on my last car, it felt like there was enough power to pull just a little 4 wheeler on a small trailer. I will just wait to see more replies I guess. I hope I dont have to go with another car.

Well, the manual says the Integra is rated to tow a maximum of 700 lbs. --- Minus the weight of all ocupants and luggage. So, if you have 2 passengers at 175 each, and 100 pounds of miscellaneous stuff in the car (stereo equipment, baggage, etc), you should only tow 700 - 450 = 250 lbs.

ok, so the bike i want (thinking of 03 CRF230F over 03 sportrax 400EX)
now only weighs in at 280 plus say 200 pounds for a trailer so I got 480 plus there would be like 300 pounds of people and 75 of stereo and olike 75 or so of luggage. so Id be pulling 930 or so pounds. But also does it make any doifference if it was supercharged. is it because of lack opf power?
I remember I must have had my old integra loaded with 50 pounds of stereo and I had like 660 pounds of people in it a few times and never felt a problem, was still quicker than my mustang v6 when im alone. but I might not have a SC or any FI, but I know at leats it will have cold air intake, 4-2-1 headers, 2.5 full exhaust, lightenedd pulies, msd ignition, skunk 2 intake manifold, chip, a new clutch (performance).
so I will havre more power to pull it and more clutch power to start off. I wil only be towing it at max 5 miles at a time, but this christmas it would be goign from north east washington to about 4 hours past he mexican border which is a trip that would worry me if I was using an integra.
