My 96's check engine light came on the other day, pulled the code and it was a p0147 low voltage to the mass air flow sensor. Anyone know what would be the best way to fix this or had to fix this problem before?

Make shure the connections are clean and tight...
Then try resetting the computer and see if the code comes up again...(it may take time so just drive it normally and if the light comes on again, then pull the code again)
If the code comes up again, then you probably need a new MAF sensor.

Yeah I tried that also purchased a new maf from the local O'reilly's. still getting same code so must be in the wiring. tech book says it needs 12 volts but using my volt meter i read 11 point something so i am picking up some resistance somewhere. just may have to rewire it.:banghead:

Does the check light come on when the engine is cold or hot?
If it comes on when the engine is hot(or warmed up) then maybe try adding insulation around the wires that go to it in the engine bay.

You can try cleaning the connections in the fuse box, on battery, and any connecters under the hood...may take time, but it beats rewiring the circuit...
also, check the connections to the computer and clean them too.
