looking for 3.4 motor/tranny

i am thinking about replacing the 3.4 motor and 4 speed in my 2000 alero. it has 128000 on it and has never really given me any trouble. i figured that things will start to go downhill with it in the next year, so i am looking into a crate/rebuilt motor and tranny. any suggestions on this?

No problems and you want to replace it? You like throwing money away? With the amount of money you would spend on those 2 things you could get another car....

i figured that for about 5 grand i would end up with basically a new car but with some modifications. i could just put a throttle body, dual exhaust, headers, cold air intake, and chip into this motor, but i would rather start out fresh with a new one.
