Lift Kit

so just a general question about lift kits on tacomas... since the tacoma is a small truck and lighter weight...would a 6" lift kit and larger tires on an 03 four door trd prerunner make the truck ALOT more top-heavy and cause the truck to roll over ALOT easier?

well yes and no. I all depends on your driving style. Lifted vehicle are not ment to be driven fast. but with the added weight of the bigger and heavier tires you might be able to compensate for the difference in ride height.

yea thats the only thing keeping me back from getting a lift on it--the whole roll over thing. tacomas look so good tho with a lift and big tires.

I have a 3.5 inch Fabtech adjustable coilovers with a 1.5 inch add-a-leaf in thew rear. It looks great. Don't get me wrong a 6'' lift would be tits. I did'nt want to mess with the angles too much. Experts say that a lift up too three inches would not hurt reliability all that much.

My truck actually handles better with the new suspension. I have no worries about rollovers. I can take a corner pretty quick but I still remember it's a truck and not a race car.lol.

While my Fabtech lift is sweet I really wanted the Donahoe Racing Suspension. It would of set me back 2500 bucks installed. Fabtech was 1500 installed. With the 1000 bucks savings I'm having JBA headers installed on monday. can't wait.
