Is it possible to still have aol services like email and buddy lists while using the adelphia cable internet through our house. Right now my parents are paying for both aol dial up and adelphia cable internet and i was thinking maybe you could use aol's email and buddy lists but not pay for it. Is it possible cause if so, what do i do here?

yes their is...AOLs instant messaging client is available through many seperate clients and every AIM (AOL Instant Messanger) screen name has a corresponding AOL e-mail address through their webmail service. My advice is to drop the dial up.

Yeah, but why would you want to? Here's what you do. Ditch AOL and their shitty browser. Download a real browser, like Firefox. Download AIM and install it so you can still chat with your buddies online. The "@aol.com" email address does NOT look good at all. Only retards use AOL. I'd just go with gMail for your email. You'll need an invite. If somebody can't get you an invite, I have plenty to give out. When you cancel AOL, be firm about it. Don't fall for their bullshit that they'll tell you. They're going to try to talk you out of canceling. Just don't listen and tell them you still want to cancel because ANYTHING is better than AOL.
