We'll a guy I work with is selling his 1985 CRX, 5 spd manual transmission with 138k Miles on it, not sure of the engine but its Carburated. It has been as far as I can tell and my mechanic can tell very well maintained. It's a western car so no rust, the exterior is in great shape, very little road wear on the paint, NO dents at all, the tip of the exhaust is rusted and theres a VERY small hole in the muffler itself. It's never been in any accidents, no flood dmg, etc etc. So far the owner has replaced the, spark plugs, all the engine wires, master cylinder, tires at 120k miles, Clutch at 90k, new airfilter in the last 3k miles. He's asking 1350 for it because it had to have a new battery put in.
Now I am wanting to buy it #1 because I like the CRX and love hatchbacks, #2 it's great on gas, and because eventually within the next year I want to swap to a bigger engine to get more out of the car then just an 75hp rush.
SOOO I was wondering if I could get some opinions from you guys on the car in general, on the "Usual" swaps done with this year CRX and if you all know of any problems that I might run into early on. Oh and where I might start small modifications, I/E etc.

It's only about 10 post down from the top.

A "bump" is a way to get a topic back to the top of the list. It means they are imaptient and want an answer NOW. Unfortunately CVCCwagon and I are about the only regulars left in this forum, and we can't anxiously sit by our computers in anticipation of answering someones question.

I personally think $1350 is too much for this car, unless it has a $500 battery in it.

lol i get it .... ya man 1350 thats alot even if it was an si id say thats too much.. i got my first si for $250.00 .. if u like the crx alot than id wait around and try to pick up an si for cheap then later down the road u can do the swap ... itll save u alota time and money rather than mess with the hf or dx.. that is all only IMO

I ended up buying the car strictly for commuting. It gets great gas mileage and is in awesome shape up and down, inside and out. I'm going to slap in the I/E to get it go breath easier but beyond that I'm going to keep it stock and start looking for a CRX si/Del Sol, as you said, something thats worth swapping into.
