need a little advice

well ive been away (army and all that good stuff) came back and to my surprise i see a (96 talon tsi fwd) sitting in my driveway low and behold my friend who now owns a 98 gsx was kind enough to give me his old car because all i talked about was owning a dsm when i was away.its bone stock never had any mods except a short shifter thats on it now has a new head he told me he had the engine rebuild and a new head put on. theres 119xxx on the odometer clean basicaly now here were you guys come in i have $3000 to spend on this car and my main goal for my project car was at least 300+whp with this kind of money is this possible if not thats why god created the all mighty job.but mind you i need it to be my daily driver so do you think you can help me make some smart choices before i begin to order parts for it thank you very much for your time and cant wait for a response

You may get close check out the dsm tuners stage 1 mod list. It will walk you through to get a close to 300hp car.

Nice 12 days... I just got discharged from the Guard, i had whiplash from my car accident back in september so was a liability :crying: (yeah right!!)

Pay your friend something. Make sure you catch up the maintenance. Spend any leftover on mods.

im 31b military police with the mass national guard. i knew that dsm tuners has a mod list im on that site like its life support all the time. and i actually didnt know rre had a mod list i went to that site to check out the price of parts there and was really pleased i just wanted just a little side advice maybe. you can only get so much from what a piece of paper/comp screen tells you you know the guys that have done it know first hand. and heres another question how much hp can the stock internals hold just a question dont jump to conclusions also how much hp can the stock t25 make.

people have seen 500+hp on stock internals, and a t25 will make maybe 200awhp give or take

hey so im not starting an new thread ran into a problem was stopped at a light and went to take a left turn started to turn my wheel but it was fighting against me and wouldnt turn then it start to turn but to turn it was like a quick five inch spin then thats it i was dumbfounded cant think of anything that happened i have no problem with the steering while im driving other then that what could it be and is it pricey
