Hi,
Is the oil for the front differential of a '99 S10 4 WD the same as the rear diff?
The rear diff is normal - (rear wheels spin opposite directions if off the ground?)
Are there any additives required?
Thanks

Your best bet is look into the owners manual. If you don't have it request that someone with the same year scan the nessary pages, and e-mail them to you.
I've got Posi on my Blazer, and to be perfectly honest I don't know if both wheels turn the same way while I spin them. I understand that's old school and that newer rear ends act just like an open dif until 1 wheel spins faster than the other.
Chevy will tell you what you have in the rear end based on the serial number
