i am seriously thinking about superchargingn my max, but i have some questions. I was looking at the stillen website and it said that the y-pipe should not be used with the supercharger. is this true? why? oh and also that the s/c should not be used with other engine or cpu mods. is this also true?oh and i was also wondering if th s/c and nos would work (If i took all the neccessary procautions)? any help is appreciated.

i assume the y-pipe thing is because they (y-pipes) typically don't flow as well as x/h-pipes. as far as other mods and n2o, those both depend on the type of s/c you're using, centrifugal or roots?

The Y pipe you saw at Stillen is for normally aspirated cars, which is 0.5 in wider than the stock one, but still gets the back pressure necessary for the exhausts to flow, a bigger diameter would lose the backpressure, and the exhausts would do swirls inside, staying instead of flowing to the outside, but with the Supercharger, this diameter is not enough for the flow created with a now more powerful engine, so you would one with still a bigger diameter.
