H2B would be great... For All Motor application.

If you're going with boost, I'd recommend just sticking with the H22 LSD Transmission, it has wider gears, which is better for boost. Because think about it, H2B alone is $900 for the entire kit, another $350-$1,000 for S80 Transmission (Pending on condition, and modification), so when you think about it, that money could go to much better use than strapping a B-Series Transmission onto your H22, right?

We're doing very similar things to my Hatchback right now... Selling the Type-R Swap, and doing something... Errr... Different to say the least. ;)

i did think about that... BUT i liked the fact that i could keep the shifter, with minimal change, and have a very strong tranny to build a nice base from.

Oh yeah, you have to buy the hasport mount kit with full h22 and I personally dont have a welder, so i would have to pay someone to weld shifter on. AND I heard that the with the h22 tranny, the axles are in a weird way that are prone to break with high hp applications

Would a b18b tranny be better?be cheaper and have longer gears right?

... There is no welding in the process of swapping to H22 at all. We've done four seperate swaps into our cars, and we've never had to do any fabrication at all.

And you don't HAVE to use HASport mounts, HCP works just as well, and you don't have to chop off the passenger mount like with the HASport kit. And all you have to do to mount the shifter box is cut and opening big enough for the shifter assembly to fit, and the stock interior piece goes right over it with no issues. There is no welding.

The H22 Transmission is fine. One Fab's Civic drag car was running 100% STOCK H22 powertrain, with a nice turbocharger system, and it put down 550whp... They had no issues with the Transmission. If you're planning on putting down that much power, you're going to need to upgrade your axles anyway man.

We were somehow able to use LS axles with the '94 Si swap, we couldn't figure out why because everyone else said they couldn't get LS axles in because they would bind. We figured it was due to the HCP mounts, they place the engine differently than HASport.

But in the other swaps we've done, like the Ek, and my swap right now, we're using Raxle custom axles because we're planning on doing quite a bit of power. So it's good to have something better than stock in there.

Also, the stock LS axles are doing just fine the '94 Si. The car put down 190whp with stock engine, and we were at the tracks with slicks (5psi) launching at 5,000RPM, and they were just fine, they are still in perfect condition... No breaking at all.

Right now that car's being fully rebuilt, after the H22 got hydrolocked. It's getting H23/VTEC with quite a bit of goodies, hoping for over 200whp+. So we'll see how they hold up then.

Anyway, H2B would be a waste of money for what you're doing. But it's your money, do what you like.

Here are some videos of the H22 '94 Si at the track, just so you can see how those LS axles handled the power... No breaking at all.

H22 '94 Si burn out... (http://videos.streetfire.net/Player.aspx?fileid=F0D9581C-DAC4-4AB1-B77C-1430EFC2D40E)

H22 '94 Si running 13.97... Full interior. (http://videos.streetfire.net/Player.aspx?fileid=22990BEC-88C0-46E9-915D-D0A2F6A3D01C)

Launching the H22 '94 Si at 5,000RPM all night long... No problems. (http://videos.streetfire.net/iPlayer.aspx?fileid=D1954888-2CFB-4D8A-815E-9CD4712B9509)

But it's whatever... I'm just letting you know what I think, do what you like. ;)

humm... well i thought you had to weld because of this site(http://hondatuningmagazine.com/tech/0309ht_swap/)

OK... a legit question. Which would be better for daily driver? h22 turbo... or h22 all motor? i figure all motor would be better.. but dont know.

if i want to push more that 7psi on the h22, i would have to get the cylinders sleeved, new pistons and rods, headgasket, then upgrade the head to get full potential out of it... SO, if i were to start off with all motor, i would have to do all that anyway, just higher compression, and probibly higher rpm, with the right build.

Is there a site that shows some 1/4 mile et. or dyno's of all motor h22's?

thanks for your help zedex!

of course all motor would be but if you did go boost then keep it tuned down and don't rod the piss out of it daily and it will be just as reliable

ok, whith the same money, say $3000, after purchase of motor, which would make more power/torque? cause if I go n/a, i wont be wasting 1grand ona turbo and related parts...

do i still need to go hondata if i go na? do you still "tune" a naturally aspirated motor? i know all you have to do to a motor for turbo, but what is there to a na build?

i know alot about cars and motors, but there are some blanks that i need filled in... Thanks for all your guys help.
