Hello All!!!! I was pricing out aftermarket parts for my 02 AV today.
I have some concerns and questions though. I was hoping that maybe some of you have installed or run these parts before on your AV or another vehicle.
NOLOGY Spark Plug Wires:
Website: http://www.nology.com/
I found this review by a customer of the NOLOGY wires as well: http://iwcweb.com/eclipse/html/warning.html
HP gain: unknown
Granatelli Mass Air Sensor
Website: http://www.granatellimotorsports.com/gmmaftruck.htm
P/N: 350115 (WithOut Cold Air Intake)
P/N: 350115-C (With Cold Air Intake)
HP gain min: 8
HP gain max: 25
BBK 02 GM 80mm Throttle Body
Website: http://www.bbkperformance.com/products/throttle-bodies.shtml
P/N: 1709 - 80mm LS-1 Performance Throttle Body (1998-2002 LS-1 Camaro/Firebird 2004 GTO) (1999-2002 GM Full Size 4.8, 5.3 & 6.0 w/Cable Style Throttle)
HP gain min: 7
HP gain max: 10
True Flow Air Kit
Website: http://www.trueflow.com/product.php
P/N: 10501
HP gain min: 13+
HP gain max: 13+
Diablo Sport Computer Tuner
Website: http://www.granatellimotorsports.com/biggflashtools.htm
P/N: Big G Flash Tuner
HP gain min: 15
HP gain max: 35
Their are other parts out there for sure. I have looked at various tuners for months. The Granatelli (Previously Diablo Sport) offers some adjustments that the Hypertech and Super Chips don't, plus custom downloads for the tuner. On SLP's website, they sell their "350HP Kit" with a Diable Sport Green Tuner. I was told by Granatelly/Diablo Sport that the programs on the new Granatelli Big G is the same as before on the Diablo.
I have already done my exhaust with a FlowMaster CatBack Kit.
This package is just for the top end.
Cost: $1611.95
HP gain min: 43
HP gain max: 83
I realize this is just what it says and that these are not true specs. The point is, it is costing me:
Price/HP max: $37.48 per 1 HP
Price/HP min: $19.42 per 1 HP
Hopefully I can maximize my gains.
Feel free to tell me Im full of shit, im just doing some research and figured it may help the rest of you. So let me know what you think?

You can save your self a lot of money buy staying away from allot of this stuff that won't do a thing for you: nology wires, I would just run some good wires like the wires from carquest are really good, if you want a top name brand run msd wires. Granatelli Mass Air Sensor, waste of money, I had not heard of anyone that said for what they paided it did that much for them. Again the same thing for the BBK 02 GM 80mm Throttle Body. The True Flow Air Kit will help out some, the intake kit brand I like is the AEM Brute Force. As for the Diablo Sport Computer Tuner, tuners will help some, but nelson tune is much better check out http://www.nelsonperformance.com/. Have you done anything with the exhaust, that would be my first step. BTW the nelson tune will tune it as you request.

Yah, I already did a Flow Master Cat Back. Today I did a AirAid Jr. Kit(Just the Tube), with an AirAid PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer, and then a True Flow Filter. I saw some increase, good throat on the AirAid Jr. Kit. Im looking into that tuning....

Hey, hows it going?
I dont know if this is what u are lookin for but i used to work in a GM Dealership as an Apprentice and i have seeen alot of these products go through the shop and like the other guy had said alot of them are a waste of time and money...programmers are good but expensive for gas engines per hp dollar value. We have installed several super chargers and have only seen one with a turbo charger but they all seem to handle the aftermarket bolt ns well...no problems. The supercharger is a Vortech charger...and i dont recall what the turbo charger is...
I know high flow intake parts are a good investment for your dollar as they are fairly cheap to do and anyone can do them...Another thing is if u are going to be adding some power t o the engine in considerable amounts u should look in to beefing up the tranny
hoefully this helps u out
