Anyone ever heard about the Megan lowering springs? Are they any good? They are only $100 on SBR! I've never heard anything about them, opinions welcomed. Thanks!

Going with Megan Racings reputation, I would say go for it and let us know.

They seem to be very good at making quality products at a lower price.

I had Megan Racing lowering springs on my 1998 Spyder GS, with Tokico blues. Springs sagged drastically over a period of 1 year. I would invest in Eibach hands down.

Currently, I'm running NEX SS coilovers. It's been over a year, and they are doing great.

are you serious?? everything meghan makes is crap except the exhausts, which were crap at first, then they fixed them....look at their reviews of tuners if you don't believe me.

But if all of Megan's parts are crap then some of Apexi's parts are crap too, and most likely other companies as well. MR's coilvers are just rebranded Apexis. The fit on SOME of their exhaust pieces were off while others were perfect, but they did work hard to correct it and they did design a new 2g AWD dp that I believe is out now ( though I still think they should exchange people's misfitting dp's for their new ones). And they worked for months to get the 2g AWD cat-back right. They even listened to people's suggestions on dsmtuners. I don't see Apexi or Greddy doing that. They also charge almost half of what other companies charge for a comparable product, even after their prices have been going up in the last couple months. Some of their parts might be junk but as a whole I think they're pretty good and are improving.

I'll let you all know how their gauges are. I'm going to order the boost and volt gauges.

When I get rid of my gay exhaust. I plan to do full 3inch megan with a 3inch cat in there. I didnt hear any problems with the 1g exhausts. If someone did, please let me know.

As for the springs, I mean the price is good but if they start to sag that sucks. You might be better off just throwing money up for better one's and only doing them once.

Thor, I would just go with Eibachs. You KNOW they are a damn good quality spring even if they do cost a little more. Remember the saying "Mod cheap, mod twice"...well, I really doubt you're going to want to replace those springs a year later. Just my $.02 Now lets everybody quit the bitch fight about what they think about Meagan exhausts and what not, he asked about springs. If you don't have any good input then don't answer.

I think "Mod cheap, mod twice" only applies in some cases; same thing with "You get what you pay for." What if you got an exhaust shop to make a turbo back for you for less than $500 rather than $1000+ for a brand name. It's cheaper but the quality is the same or better.

But yeah in this case I'd go with the Eibachs unless you can find some good reviews of the MRs.

MR, Tein, Eibach, whatevs you decide on get struts along with. I'd do Eibach of what's been listed so far.

Edit>> And an alignment, heh.

Ok thanks guys. I lowered my Cavy with sprint springs and springtech struts, no sag or sign of blowage from the struts, so I may go that route. Sportlines are definately on the top of my list though, cant go wrong there. Thanks for the opinions guys!

Kinda off topic, but just thought I'd let everyone know there's a really good tech article on dampers in sport compact car this month.
