Well i know im not very known here but im going to start posting more i just usually post in the 3000gt section though and i dont think this counts under 3000gt though. but this is y u shouldnt ride a dirtbike expecially a kx 250 on the road. I was riding my bike yesterday after trying to decide to drive the car or just go for a quick ride on the bike. well when i was driving i was probably going about 60mph and i held in the clutch and revved it and let out thats when the power band kicked in and sent me to the gound it caused the bike to flip backwards. i flew and rolled like 5 times and skidded to a hault. well the right side of my back is no skin less as my left ne both shoulders bothe elbows up the bicep also joins the no skinle club. i hated hostpitals cause they told me wut i thought i was fine other then the major road rash. i did hit my head causing it to bleed but it came out good then they thought i had internal bleeding since there was blood traces in my urine well i was like they only want more money cause it turned out that i just brused my kidneys. well now i have a huge brace on my right nee the only part of my body that didnt get road rash even my butt got it lol. u should try and picture me sitting here right now typing it hurts lol. so the doc says i shouldnt drive or even walk for at least a week and then i cant drive after that even more cause he wants my nee brace to stay on for 2 weeks i cant drive witht it on though so my spring break now is officially shot. lol but to all the fellow 3000gters drive safe and race well.

Wow, really sorry to hear that. I got bad road rash on my bmx 9 years ago, fell on a jump and skidded for awhile on gravel. Ripped the clothes practically right off me. I remember that shower afterwards was SO damn painful. I can only imagine it's worse on a motorcycle. Really sorry man.

I can feel for you. I've crashed on my dirt bikes over the years so many times it makes me sick. I've had my shoulder dislocated, had serious cuts after running into a barbed wire fence, etc etc. It sucks, it really does. If you wan to go that fast on the road I would HIGHLY reccomend some steering dampers os that you don't get the shakes at those speeds. Dirtbike forks are built for taking heavy beatings off road but arent ideal for fast speeds due to the length and angle of them. That is why any serious baja racer will tell you that you must have steering dampers and experience to work your way up to those speeds. Hope you start feel better.
