4Lo problems

the other day i was bored and driving around my buddy's street till he got home and decided to pop my truck into 4Lo just because its not something you use everyday and I like to put it into 4WD every once in a while so it dosent just sit. Anyway i press the button to go into 4Lo and I can feel the extra power from just cruising but then when i give it some gas the RPMs jump but i dont move, its like my transmission isnt even engaging. BUT I then switched it into 4Hi and it works no problem.

you are not suposed to use 4wd on pavement. you were probbably going way too fast for the gear ratio and you comuter disengaged the 4wlo as a safeguard. i would only use 4wlo in extreme situations such as off roading up a very steep incline or pulling a boat out of the water or something like that.
