What about the so called "speed chips" sold on e-bay for
about $3-20 dollars, I thank it is just a resistor you could
buy at radio shack for 25.cents. Any way If it is what ohms
would it be for my car, like if you put a meter across it.
I have a "01'Honda Civic ex automatic" and it's is real slow. Even with
the cat back exhaust and short ram air intake it's still draggy.
I thought about buying AEM pulleys I don't know if it's worth
the money or even if they work, I heard they could mess up
the power steering pump... I don't know?
If anybody has any idea's on how to make it a little faster please
let me know!!! Thanks
Ps.I Owe to much to trade it in
right now so i can't get a faster
Civic... Just so you Know! :sunglasse

Crank pulleys are the ones that cause problems. AEM will not do any harm, just don't run tooooo many watts but I doubt your entering shows with a system if your asking this question. So in all reality buying a pully for the car is a waste of money and time. The basic upgrade path of the 01-05 civic is very weak. Yes we all know about the basic bolt up's I/H/E. Gains almost non. You do have a couple of options on making your car punch a bit harder.
1. K swap
2. Turbo
3. Bottle feed it
The price tag for each will be expensive with the bottle being the cheapest and worst for the engine of course. Are you looking to take the car to the track? If so I 's recommend a good suspension set up with a nice set up light tires and DR's. The bolt on path would only turn out productive if you complete the set up. New headers, intake, cat delete and, exhaust oh yes a cam wouldn't hurt either. Even with all this done reaching a price tag of over a grand you still wont be much faster. Yes it might feel fast and loud but 99% of the cars out there will eat you still. Basically you can make your car seem fast but numbers dont lie the car wont be flying. Hold off on making the car fast. Aim your interestes in making the car look nice and handle great. Get a nice set a rims some coilovers and mabye a CF hood and trunk. You also will keep the value of the car longer if you dont start putting basic bolt on's on the car. Mod an already fast car and save your self the pain later.
