With my newest project, I am using more filler putty than ever, and it is not fun!  I am rounding of some corners and things of that nature as well as putting a scoop on the hood. For the scoop I really have to build the putty up and it seems like it takes forever to dry. I am using Model Master red putty and it seems really "soft". Anyone ever use this stuff? I am also having trouble shaping the scoop on the hood to look just right. It`s just looking like a mess. Anyone have any tips for me? I know some of you have some really heavily modified bodies and would liek to know how you get it just right.

that model masters putty is worse than dogsheit

I use one made by Bondo it dries fast and its easy to sand you can find it at most trak autos or murrays

i agree you shouldve made a frame that way it uses less putty and it would look a bit more acurrate

Actually, I did. I am just trying to fill in the gaps with the putty. It keeps breaking off in chunks. :( :(

I like using green fast dry putty from Squadron. Model master has a green putty (similar I believe) that dries a bit quicker. Also, use lots of water when sanding, it makes a world of difference. The red stuff you're using seems to be a little to soft and slow drying for the application. :o
