can this be done

ok i have a 95 firebird and its convertible it need a new top bad i asked on here if any one new where i could get one and they said ebay but i cant find one on there and every where else it going to cost like 1600 bucks to get fixed and i dont think it is worth it who no how long its going to last and all tha6t good stuff now what i wanted to no if there is any way i can make it a hatchback and how much would it cost if i rent that way or if any one no's where i can get a ceap top

Just from what i know about these things, i don't think this can be done for any sort of reasonable price. The convertible is different from the back seats back sort of, so a regular hard top wouldnot just fit right on there. i think a convertible top is really the only sensible way to go, sucks that it costs so much.

if you want cheap, check in a jc whitney magazine. they have some cheap stuff. I dont know what the quality would be like, but i know they have conv. tops. thats the only place i know of.

i also agree, convertables have a completely difrent body design. It would cost more to try and make it a hatchback, if its even possible.
