Yall know my car.

Anyway I forgot to write about something in my last posting thing.

Let's say we are crusin down mainstreet in 2nd gear goin ehhh 30 mph. The turbo is at a good place to kick in...so...I floor it..the car bounces as if it's sputtering almost...like the car will go forward hard with the power..and then back off...3 times quickly in like 1 second. Then after that clears up..THEN it accelerates fine.

Is this the MAS?? I checked the wiring and it is fine.

Sounds like a MAS problem... Maybe the sensor itself has gone bad.

Actually, I have that entire pipe from the filter to the turbo that I no longer need. Got a nice little k&n filter on it too. lol

plugs / wires, sounds like you're losing spark

Blackcrow...how much do you want for it?

I second this.

125 shipped for the whole thing... But you should check and see if its the plugs and wires first like the others said before buying this. Plugs and wires would be way cheaper to possibly solve that problem. :)

At bare minimun replace the plugs, when you do make sure they are gapped correctly.

the spark plugs? Doesn't the spark only affect start up?

I will not give you a smart comment instead I will give you a nice answer.

Spark is what ignites the fuel inside the cylinders. In order for the car to run you have to have good spark. No spark no boom. The car runs on gas, that gas has to be ignited some how, hence the spark plugs.

If you require a more detailed understanding of how a combustion engine works I will gladly find a link for you.

If you are having hesitation it sounds like it could be that your spark plugs are going bad.

Ignoring your later comment...

Make sure the wires don't have cracks. Pull the plugs and look at the tips. If they are all corroded, this is most likely your problem. Replace them with NGK and gap them accordingly.

I'm OK...I'm OK...almost didn't make it through that..

take your car to any mechanic and them you want your spark plugs replaced. tell them you only want NGK BPR6ES gapped at .028. shouldn't be more than 30 bucks. It will fix your problem.

OK I realize that was a stupid question. BUT...I know a spark ignites the fuel in the engine..but I figured once the combustion was going...it didn't need to be restarted...but now that I think of it..if it combusts...the fuel is gone..it needs a new spark to restart the process.. But that occuring dozens of times per second..I didn't think of it being able to happen that fast

hey my spyder gst does the same thing. Seems to try to go but it can't right around 3k where the turbo kicks in. But mine only does it when it's cold. It started happening about 2 weeks after I put an open air filter on my car.

Yep that is a combustion engine for you.
