BMW Z4 Sexy or Repulsive

What do you guys think of the 2003 BMW Z4?

The Z4 is modern looking and is sure to catch the eye of many, although I presume for the wrong reasons. It is a ugly, uncohesive car, and BMW (and I presume Chris Bangle) could have done a lot better. Those creases and curves just don't go together, and those alloys are taken from the facelift 996 Porsche.

To me, I say it looks decent, it would look better if the front didnt look like a damn dog.

i can see some shelby influences in the style, but its actually looks pretty good for a beamer

It's different to say the least. All in all, I think it is alright.

Ive never really looked at this car much, but it looks way to much like the S2000:eshooter:

I love this car. I don't know why, mayeb it's the new curves, but I think it's a step forward, I love modern design and as far as I'm concerned, this is a pretty good example.

The sides look very interesting, I don't so much like the back, but the front has a very refined look about it. Glad to see they've kept the twin kidney grills, at least ONE German comapny hasn't sold out.

Other than that I wish they had bumped up the power a bit, to 240 or something,t he car is bigger and the power's the same, not to impressed.

The M4 should have at least 330 hp I'd hope.

I don't love it or hate it but I figure it's ok. Personally I don't like the curves on the side panels. But hey, it's better than a :flamer:KIA right?

id take one...althought id take many cars others would think are dumb and boring (like ...the CTS i want one badd)

its nice but it dont look like a BMW.Looks more like a luxery car,like a Caddy,Lincold,or Benz type of car.

I kinda like the way it looks but wouldn't buy one. On the other hand if one was given to me I wouldn't complain...

I do have my doubts about teh rear end:(

I actually like the rear on this car. It flows perfectly with the rest of the car. As for the CTS, I would definitely make some changes to that rear end. It is a very nice car, but I don't know about the back...

I like the sides and the back of it a lot, the front could look a little better. I hope they make an M version of it!!!!!

To me the new Z4 is ok. While BMW has done a nice job with the styling I can't help but notice that it looks like they took some styling cues from Caddilac. It's got those straight pointy edges that make the car look odd, IMO.

And was this car designed by the designer of the S2000? I see a lot of cues from the S as well.

It's still a nice looking car, but I think the Z3 (M Roadster), had a classier styling then the new Z4. I'd still take one if somebody gave it to me :).

I think I would rather have an S2000.

I tihnk I would take the Z4 over the S2000. Not totally based on looks, because I do like the style of the S200. But taking a Honda over a BMW just seems crazy... However, I sat in, not drove, both of these cars, and the Z4 was a little smaller than I would've liked...

i definatly like the looks (liked the Z3 too), but it could use some Z8 power :D

Is the Z4 made in Carolinia as the Z3 ?

Or, for a lot less money, why couldn't they have given the Z4 the Z8's styling -- and had customers lined up around the block?

It looks disjointed and kind of freakish, and yet still manages to look as boring as all other BMWs ever made.

Maybe not as strange as you may think - after all I don't like my cars to look crumpled! Perhaps BMW forgot that the fold on the blueprints wasn't supposed to end up on the real car:)
