Blower stopped working

A/C works because I can hear the compressor start and can feel the cold air. All fuses are okay. Since I cannot find my voltmeter, I connected the blower to the battery and it worked. If I jumper the wires from the back of the speed selector switch, I get no response from the blower. All I can think of is the blower resistor...thoughts?

Yes, resistor packs blowing is a common problem.
