Finally got the money together to get me a newer civic and i got a 99 milano red coupe. It is super ass sweet with all the options including the optional abs. I absolutely love the d16y8 it has and boy is it a difference than my d15b1. LOL a big ass difference. Sadly i can't keep my ef hatch any more. I guess i'm moving out of here, but i will always check back in cause you guys are the ones that i began my civic experience with. Thanks again for all your help in the past and i can say that i learned from alot of knowledgeable people here. I'm grateful.
Well, gonna go drive it some more. Unfortunately it has altezzas on it with 17 inch rims and a fart can but when we drove it, amazingly there was absolutely no smoke what so ever outta the engine. Looks like the guy who owned just wanted the looks and didn't raced it much. I think that's a rare find indeed and i'm lucky it runs excellent. I think the first thing i'll do is take my panasonic head outta my hatch and put in there, then i'll work on getting those ugly ass altezzas off of there. The exhaust is actually quite nice as it has a low sound when driving. Nothing like a bumble bee on steriods. The wheels i can live with as well.
Well, i'll catch ya guys around and good luck with all your ef hatches, sedans, and good ol' crx's. I will one day return with a crx when i get my own place. Until then, cheers.

Yeah... show us some pics. But for the love of God do NOT show us the altezzas. LOL 17s are probably too big for a d16y8 but that's just my .02. Also, is it just a fart can or a whole exhaust? I think when just a fart can is put on it doesn't open it up that much so there isn't too much of decibel increase. Anyway, congrats on buying a newer car. You can still postwhore here. Everybody else does...

I think i'll just enjoy the altezzas for a little while and then ditch them. There is no way that i'm keeping them on there for good. LOL. It just wouldn't be me. From what i can see, its just a generic muffler that sounds deep. I personally love it and do plan on keeping it there. When the car starts up, it just sounds perfect. The car also has a aem short ram intake on it, but the filter looks like it could be replaced. I think a nice K&N filter will do just fine.
I know i'll be posting here, i was just being sarcastic in a sense. Besides, i still know more about my 4th gen than my 6th gen so there's bound to be questions i can answer.
But i have been finding something hard to accept and that is selling my hatch. I really don't want to do it, but i know i have to as i have no where to keep in our driveway and i could use the money that get off of it. I'm still thinking maybe keeping in a storage unit till i can put it somewhere so i can fix it up, but wouldn't that be costly?

It's funny because I too have been looking at a 6th gen Civic. It just seems like Honda makes the most reliable 4 cylinder engines. And let's face it, none of us can afford to be without our wheels. I'm just waiting on that sweet deal to come across my plate. What I really want is a 99-00 EK hatch DX with maybe a B18b swap (so I can use 87 octane) with I/H/E, rear disc swap and some nice 15s. That would make me very happy...

It's funny, i've already put my 2000 si headrests that were in my ef and put them in the ek and since it's the same color as an ek si, it looks alot like one only riced out. LOL. But i'm already looking at getting the si honeycomb grill for it and the front lip while trying to find some SOHC Vtec stickers to put on the side that are the same size as the DOHC Vtec stickers on the si. I want to make it looks like an si, only with a d16y8. It's gonna be sweet. I think an all oem look is the right way to go. It's clean and respectful to look at.

Here are the pics the day i picked her up. The quality is not the best but you get the idea. They don't do the paint job justice. It still shines like crazy. Probably was garage kept. HEHE :)

As far as i know, the si's have a mesh grill while the regular civ's have a plastic line going across the front of it with the emblem in the middle. I'm definetly going with the si grill and i'm hoping (fingers crossed) that i can find a rare one with the gold emblem. They are just kick ass.
The rims are pimping! A little to big but they look good on there somewhat. I'm probably going to use them during the summer and get some si rims for the winter. Right now i've completely pulled my system out of my hatch and put it in the coupe. It's soundin great now. Another awesome thing is that the car already came with the amp hookups in the trunk. Come to find out, all of it is hooked up besides the battery cable which is just sitting beside the battery. 1-2-3 and i'm ready to go booming. HeHe.
Thanks man for the comments.

....I want a/c, and I want it YESTERDAY DAMMIT!!!! Nice ride, my friend has a 93 EX, which I know is different, but still similar..and if it werent for the gutless-ness of the d16z6 in it...I would hate him equally!

My friend used to have a 98 ex with 18" rims just like yours and they were so damn loud and uncomfortable and fugly he sold them and opted for steelies instead even though he had the money to replace them with something else. But he's a TRD now... haha.

Damnit. Was looking at the car and noticed the muffler was a generic type. Never thought it had a silencer till today when i saw a little bolt holding it in. I was all hyped up about getting it out and seeing how loud the muffler really was till i found out that the bolt was welded onto the muffler. Looks like someone wanted the silencer in there for sure. Man, i was hoping. :) Oh well.

I was told that if you don't take the silencer out before running it, you'll never get it out. But yeah, it'll be much louder without it. I have a resonator and my exhaust is still loud.

God do I love my Altezzas. Funny thing is, my parents are begging me to keep them on there cause they think it makes the car look cooler and more expensive. Uhhhhhhhhh!!!!
