hey whats up everyone?
i just sold my 98 integra ls, and was planning on getting a gsr. So since im only 17, i was gunna have the car put in my parents name so the insurence would be a lot cheaper. So i called up to see how much the insurece would be on a 99 integra gsr in my parents name, and they told me that it would be $2000 every 6 months, that seems kind steep! i asked if that was for my parents or me, and they told me thats what it would be in my parents name.they said it was because it would be hard to get parts if i was ever in an accident bcuz its in import. the guy that has the gsr im looking at said he was only paying $83 a month. Is this steep? are they asking too much? what are u guys paying every 6 months for your gsr?

I pay $860 every 6mos for my GS-R
I am 24 with a perfect driving record. $860 was the cheapest I found. Geico had me quoted at like $1500 every 6mos for the same coverage!!!
The guy that pays $83/month is probably over 25 y/o or has liability only.
The 4 door GS-R is supposedly a lot cheaper to insure...

I'm with Geico. I have a 2000 4-Door GS and I pay $500/six months. Full Coverage. I'm 30 years old but that seems like a huge difference to me. Even if its non-vtec. Is the engine the reason for the big difference in cost?
Know its not a GSR but hope this helps.
Peace Out and good luck:)
