92 98 regency climate control dead

climate control displays 3 dashes only, check oil light on briefly, and warning bell sound changed. all happened when i started car today, was fine yesterday. no recent repairs.any idears? is there a "body control module" and could this be the culprit? have disconnected battery but no change.
