1.) its your ride, get what you like
2.) a good name brand one that is more expensive(generally)
3.) you get what you pay for(generally)
4.) refer to answer #1

personally i don't like those wings. but don't put them on a basically stock lookin car because i don't think that it looks right. save your money for some lowering springs or put it in a jar for a body kit. but if you really want it go for it. maybe try gettin a type r wing or something

ghetto_smurf
07-12-2002, 02:26 PM
i was also looking at one of the trpe r spoilers.which 1 is better?1 of the spoilers up there or a tyre r spoiler?if a type r spoiler is better should i get the 1 w/ or w/out the light? thanks for viewing and if u have ne questions comments or answers feel free to share your mins. thanks a bunches

wings suck, the only car that a wing looks good on is a skyline. go for a modified spoiler, one that molds into the trunk creases, only lke 4 in high at max.

07-12-2002, 02:33 PM
LMFAO i think the spoilers i were looking at were 13" and 10" and i think the type r is 4-5" and i personally think alot of cars look good with spoilers, so :flipa: u

1) to be honest i dont think they will look all that much different on the car, but before you even think about buying the spoiler you need to get that bodykit. which 1 aesthetically is up 2 ur personal choice.

2) they are all the same make and same material so quality shouldnt be an issue

3) you wont notice much of a difference in handling unless you are going to be driving hard, so maybe getting the 3rd spoiler could be more cost effective

4) personally i prefer split wings

It is close between the 3, but perhaps i would go for the 2nd wing, but as i say it is you're choice and there is little difference in the three.

a split wing is just 2 wings in one if ya get me. skylines have em stock. you're first 2 are split wings, and the 3rd one isnt. they just increase adjustability and downforce a little bit i think. and as i say i think they look nicer

ghetto_smurf
07-12-2002, 02:51 PM
so overall u would pick the 2nd one? i like it alot too i think i might get that once but be4 i do i want more info from u ppl sme come on ppl keep the messages rolling

i do prefer the 2nd one, but dont get a wing at all until you get a bodykit that is at least as agressive as the 1 you posted about.

ghetto_smurf
07-12-2002, 03:42 PM
did u think that kit would b good with the second fin? here is a link to the kit pics

i still say get a type r wing or one of the ones that you mold to the trunk. i was goin to get one but i can't afford the molding thing quite yet. you should really just save for a body kit but if you have to have the wing then get one of those 2

ghetto_smurf
07-12-2002, 04:32 PM
do u have a pic of wat a molded wing would like ?if so put it up plz. and every1 keep posting ur minds in my threads, it is much appreatiated

definitely dont get the wing until you have that bodykit, without the bodykit a wing will look totally out of place, but once you have the bodykit i would get the 2nd one.

Have you tried some of the following sites for bodykits etc. (Some of the big Japanese tuning houses):

Veilside (http://www.veilside.com/)
Top Secret (http://www.topsecretjpn.com) Downforce.biz (make custom bodykits) (http://www.downforce.biz)
Torque Developments Inc. (British company but good) (http://www.tdi-plc.com)
and finally a index of all the major Japanese tuning houses (some in Japanese but you should be able to just about understand it) (http://popup.tok2.com/home/drift/link2.html)

i don't think that he wants to go with veilside since the kits cost half of what his car cost and i don't think that hey make them for integras, do they?

07-13-2002, 09:19 AM

Nothin like alil knock off!! -- U KNOW NOTHING about your car or tha import scene do u!!!?!! ---

1st)
Go to a store & get an issuse of super street, Turbo, sport compact car, & Max POWER(UK edition)! -- Read tha whole Mag. FRONT TO BACK!!(all of them)
-that will give u some knowledge-

2nd)
Come back & start putting up post that dont have all that crap in them(sku #, part#) - no1 wants to read through a long post that has nothing of any real importance to say.

3rd)
If your really serious about your car - do some damn research!!
Know what your talking about, dont just start talkin outta your A$S.

4th)
By now u should have a clue - after reading some mags- doing some research on what yoru really looking for..
-----------------
ebay is great-- but they also sell alot of crap ~ yoru better off getting an Original, Not a knock off..!!... My boy has tha bomex kit(not BMX)- got it from Japan for $1200 -- It came Pre drilled - there is lil to no shaving that has to be done to mount it so all tha lines are even. U buy that BMX crap off ebay & the shop could spend 8+ hrs on tha front bumper alone & say your getting charged $50/hr ~ thats $400 just to mount yoru bumper - that doesn't include paint - thats just to put hta damn thing on... -- do me a fav -- go to http://www.wholehyper.com/kits.html
- check out tha kits-- but please read tha Disclamer.

******
thats it- im done w/ u -- please follow those steps.. this will make u a better Post Whore on AF ~~ aswell as giving u tha Knowledge u need to have -- to Not seem like a complete DUMBa§s, amoung every1 else in tha import scene

one last thing that may need mentioning. try to find to find a kit that requires minimal or no drilling. this is so if you ever come to sell the car you can restore it back to its original state (and therefore value). Modded cars sell way under their usual value to anyone except boy racers.

I have the same exact wing used on the green mitsubishi eclipse that would sell for 150 bucks almost brand new I paid 350 for in southeren cal. it is the gt2 wing by APR I had it on my 01 celica gts it looked pretty good I ended up getting a 350Z so i am in no need of the wing and would take a good offer! email me at [email protected]

Post actual pictures of the wing, and links to the body kit that you want... like that work.
