ok now i have a firebird that i deliver papers with:nono: the bad things is it is out back roads and my exhaust keeps dragging. i was wondering if i would be able and if it was legal to take a glasspack and run it straight off of my catalatic converter off to the side of my car. that way this would get rid of that damn dragging noise my exhaust is making.

if its a 3rd generation- as far as emmitions go, I beleive it is legal. but it would not be as quiet. also if your exhaust drags now , it will be even lower to the ground if you try to put a glasspack right after the converter. I have dual exhaust on mine. I have headers and i put glass packs on mine were you want to, doesnt work well. if yours is a 1st or 2nd gen, then I am not sure as to how much room is under there but I beleive it would work. if its any newer then 92 then I couldnt tell you

The glass pack will just drag and fall off. those are heavy, so they take a lot of support to keep them from just dropping off, they really work best when they are in an exhaust system to help support them. The solution i would suggest is just going to an exhaust shop and getting that fixed (why is your exhaust dragging?). Sorry, unfortunately that will definately cost more than a glass pack, i wish the glass pack thing would work, and i've tried it with no luck, of course i never want to drill any holes or weld anything, so maybe if you do that you can get the glass pack to stay up there. Well anywho, good luck.

Um, why don't dont you just get a new cat back exhaust and have it properly installed so you wont have dragging?
