Hi,
I was wondering what options I have as far as prings for my 94 G? I know there are the Ground Controls, Intrax. Do theys still have the Eibachs? I already placed my order for the AGX's and want to match some springs. What springs are people ordering when they choose the GC's? Thanks.

I'm running GCs with 275/200 rates. I think I'd rather have 275/225, but what I have is close enough. The ride is really sweet and it still handles very nicely - as well as the 340/275 I originally was using. I have some bottoming occasionally, but I need to get the Truesports/Koni bump stops and raise the car about a half inch (it's a little low right now). I think that will cure the bottoming totally.

I don't think they make the Eibachs anymore. I do have a set I used for about a year that I need to get rid off. The ride will probably be a bit stiff w/ the AGXs though. Let me know if you're interested.

i have lowered the suspension of my 92 g20 with b&g springs. i fell these springs are doing there job good. the ride is of course more firm while the handaling capabilities of the car are much increased. i purchased these springs from nis-knacks for about $140.00

According to the site, it's 40mm (1.6"') but not sure if that's front or back or both. :(

uclandru,

The '96 G20 lower half and front spoiler was painted the same color as the car from the factory.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I thought all G20's from '94-'96 had the lower half and spoiler color matched from the factory

I have a 94 G20T and the lower half of the spoiler and rear bumper are not color matched. But they are also faded on top.

There's more info. here:
http://www.b-gsuspension.com/infiniti.html

I was quoted $200 for springs and $1350 for coilover kit from one of their distributors.

On a side note, I may be selling my brand new set of KYB AGX's for P10.

hmm..maybe its a pearl white thing..but the bottom spoiler and skirts were not painted, they appear black...I kno AznVirus painted his himself..but its very difficult to match pearl white unless you know what ur doing......Im still debating whether I should go ahead and paint it myself too.....

uclandru - its very easy, just go to Pep Boys or Autozone and find the catalog that has all the paint codes and just look for Nissan. sorry i dont know it right now, but just look under Nissan. hope it helps, i dont think it will say Pearl White. it will say something like _____ white, i forgot what it was, sorry.:bloated:

uclandru

AZN..so basically did you mask off the doors with tape, take off the mudflaps and then just spray evenly? basically im asking what the process was..how long did it take to dry...etc.

White is the most difficult color to match, ask any paint or body shop. Pearl finishes are especially tough to match. Our's requires all three layers to match perfectly.

believe me i kno....thats why im so weary of doing it myself....darnit i forgot to check out Azn's car at the socal meeting to see how it looked...:( he did a good job with the interior tho..:D

As far as I know, only the 96G20's had the lower body parts body color. 93.5 and up had body colored moldings and bumpers but the lower body panels were still black.

Hmm....that's weird. I'd assume the lower panels were painted after the fact. I remember reading about the 96 G20 and one of the highlights was the body colored lower body panels. Either way, yours is painted now so that's always good!! (assuming you wanted it that way)

I painted myself but White is hard to to my friend owns a body shop at home.

Any other color. find the matching paint code at Pep Boys. Buy three to four cans of the color you needs ( paint code is on inside of your driver door or they will have a match chart ) and two cans of clear paint.

Paint the side slowly and smoothly letting each layer dry. I did 4 coats of color and 2 coats of clear.

No one can tell the difference $25.

For those with the Pearl White, I heard that it was also used on the 95-96 300ZX and 96-98 Maxima as Artic White Pearl, but can't confirm.

Unfortunately it is not available off the shelf as a spray as far as I can find, just like the Infiniti color.

Does anyone know of ANY white pearl paint in a spray for ANY car?
I find red, blue, black but no white pearl for any car.

go to finishmaster...don't know if they are a company that only exists in my area or not but if you give them your paint code they will make a spray can for you. this is very exact, not a one shade off/close enough deal. it also cost a bit more. if you have a darker color car this does not factor for fade so when you are done spraying you may want to wet sand and buff the areas around it so the painted area doesn't stand out.
