whats wrong?

I recently bought a 1984 Camaro Z-28 with a 305 H.O. Well the guy said that the engine had some things that needed to be worked out. well apperantly he was right. My car now has a lot of pure white smoke coming out of the exhaust. i changed the oil and put new plugs in, some of the old plugs were really wet and black, they smelt like gas and a little bit of burnt radiator fluid. i dont know if its a cracked block or what but some advice from someone would be cool.

Yeah the white smoke is tattle taile that you have a coolant in the motor, the gas is probably he fiddled with the carb and ign. so it'd run rich to keep the plugs firing despite the presence of anti freeze where it don't belong.

Do a compression check to determine if you have a head gasket problem or intake manifold if all the cylinders check in relative balance.
