Hey guys what's up? I have a 91 Civic HB SI. I figured I would introduce myself and list what I've done so far.
97 D16Y8 block bored .020 over
97 D15Z6 Vtec head
SRP 10.5:1 c/r pistons
Eagle H beam rods
XTD Stage 2 clutch
Morosso Plug wires
DC 4-2-1 Header
OBD1 Swap with Chrome chipped P28 with datalogging capable
Short ram intake with "HKS" cone filter (even though HKS doesn't make cone filters :screwy: )
Wicked Tuning Coilovers
17" Racing rims :banghead:
Header back 2.5" exhaust
Future projects:
Fiberglass sub box enclosure
Turbo setup running low boost
Suspension setup
Problems I'm having:
Shfter doesn't feel right. Like it's hard to find the gears. (since new tranny and clutch)
Clutch makes sound. When you let off the clutch even in neautral it makes a whining noise.
Smokes a little on fresh build.
Valves make a loud ticking noise. I used Y8 valves in the D15Z6 head. Maybe it's that???
Well thanks for reading. Hope to contribute to the community.

for one welcome aboard and if no one helps you here I use Honda-tech.com too thats my other forum i use alot....but for shifter its most likely the collar...like if you put it in gear does it have play in it? if so its the collar runs like 10 bucks at honda....valves dont matter those years are interchangable, did you use a feeler gauge to adjust them or maybe have a shop do it...sounds like they are to lose...another what kind of smoke is it???need more details...clutch i hear those problems all the time maybe the throw out bearing???

Well I just replaced the clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing. The smoke is a blue/gray kind of color. It's not coolant because coolant has that sweet smell. Plus there is no oil in the coolant.
I'm thinking maybe the rings havn't had time to seal good? Since the build it's only been ran about 2 hours.

Tear down the shifter and regrease. If that is not it, and what made a difference for me was fresh oil in the tranny. Also check your shift linkage and shift support the bushing might need repl.
Clutch makes sound. When you let off the clutch even in neautral it makes a whining noise.
You believe the t-out is good. Might have got a bad one(It happens)
Smokes a little on fresh build.
Rings not seated yet, I love the smell of fresh a build...

I would check them again.

I actually over paid for quite a bit :nono:
I was new and in a rush so I paid more than I had too. Oh well, I'm jobless and in college now so I have to search out the best deals. I waited 3 weeks just to get a O2 sensor $9 cheaper :icon16:
