i have a 93 trans sport w/ a 3800 that i just got from a friend.. he has been driving it for the last 3 years w/ a code 34 maf circuit low code in it..
i have tried about 6 different maf sensors that i have in my garage and the code still comes back.. i checked the plug w/ a dvom and i have 4.3 v at the left contact and batt voltage across the other the other 2
i tried a known good ecm and still the code comes back :banghead:
the air duct work is in good shape and tight and the air filter is clean
anyone have any ideas???

Given canari's experience, I'd check if all the wires that run from the MAF sensor to the ECM do carry current from one end to the other. THe MAF output as such is supposed to be a series of pulses, difficult to analyse using a DVOM. And measuring voltage at the maf socket with DVM at no load (maf disconnected) can show voltage even if it comes through a very high resistance path, but the voltage could then die out as soon as the maf is connected...that is why the tests below use a test lamp...
