New Cam?

I have a 97' Ram 4x4 with a 318, I just got a new tranny and I'm getting ready to rebuild the engine, but I'm keeping the stock computer. My question is, does ne one know how large of a cam I can run with out having to burn a custom chip for my computer? Thank you for your input.
