Actually it's vector... doing it in Corel Draw11. No real tips, just jump in and try it. It's not a difficult program to use. I'm happy to help if you have any questions.

Great looking Pro-mod.

Do you do the image in multiple layers?
(How many and how are they stacked?)

I generally start with the wheels/tires layer and
build up with new layers from there.

Just wondering how you "build" your vector images.
I use M/S Expression and have not knowledge of Corel.

Well... here it is. Put a few hours into this over the weekend. I think it's pretty much done. It's going to go on a t-shirt, just white, red and black inks on fossil grey shirts.

Blip, i haven't used layers, i just group objects together. i usually start with the body outline first, then the wheels and then on to the rest. Layers would probably make it a lot easier though.

It looks great, very "clean" line work and layout design.

I can't imagine all of those image objects on the same layer.
I have enough trouble with objects getting stacked, (and lost) using 3 or 4 layers.

Are your t-shirts printed out digitally or screened (do you make your own color seps, too)?

Thanks JD! Funny, the guy who drives this truck - his name is JD also. Check out the corner of the window. "Screamin' Mad" is hard to read- but you can see the JD

Blip- I have a little 4 color screenprinting press in my garage that i got off ebay for like 400 bucks.Since I'm limited to 4 colors I usually keep my designs simple... this is going to be 3 colors on a dark grey shirt. The layers are another story.... :banghead:

That's great that you can do your own printing. I have my designs
"digitally" printed by a company out west.
Not as neat as screened images.

How difficult is it to run your press?

JD - I had a few reference pics of it when it was red, and then a couple reference pics of the motor - they just put that new blower hat on it.

Blip - How much is your guy to print a shirt digitally.. i'm guessing with one of those T-Jet printers? It's not too hard to print shirts, I'm still in the learning phase myself and have wasted a bunch of shirts. :banghead: Had my press for almost a year now and it has easily paid for itself, the supplies, and a few 12 packs! Now i just need to learn how to burn my own screens.

Thanks big time Lemo!

Yeah i got a little 4 color press in the garage - squeezed between the mav and the mustang. It's pretty cool, it's cool to get away from the computer and get messy.

Rob--I use one of those big web store hosting companies for my printing.
They handle all of the shipping too.
Of course, that means they get most of the money....
...but there's no minimum order size, and they offer a lot of product for imaging
besides shirts.
