how long does a 1g last

i got a quite of bit of miles on my 1g's,,, and im wondering how many miles have people gotten out of there Non-turbo and turbo 4g63's before they had to rebuild there engine and tranny... thanks

as many as you can before they go out? It is different with every vehicle and depends on how you drive.

You can get as many miles out of it as you want if you take care of it. Do a compression test, pretty good indicator of what shape your engine is in. 160 is off the lot, the Haynes manual says 121 is the "service limit" (whatever the hell that means), and I would call anything about 140 good. 15 psi is the biggest difference you want, ideally they should all be the same.

My 1g 1.8l 94 eclipse ( just own it over 2 month ago ). It have 223.000k mile on it , still run strong , no oil burn, just oil leak around the oil pan and some where else.

The 1g I bought died at 140k. Soo now, it has a new motor, just like bnew.
