i just recently bought a 1997 gst off a family member who is in the marines and had no more use for the car at this present time. i was wondering if anyone could explain to me how to adjust the turbo down. it is running 14psi all the time and i would like to have to around 10 or 11?

What do you mean "all the time?" Is it stock? Stock boost pressure is 10-15 psi for the 2g. I would leave it alone if I were you :2cents:. 14 is safe. Search this site for any futher questions of this nature, or go to www.vfaq.com.
Edit: You should also post these kind of questions in the problem diagnosis sub-forum not the main forum.

you can't run lower than the stock wastegate spring. if you want to go higher you'll need a boost controller, but you can't just turn up the boost without plenty of other mods first.

I'm trying to help you out, but you're literally ignoring what we're saying. YOU CANT LOWER THE BOOST LOWER THAN THE STOCK SPRING WHICH IS AROUND 15 psi. To raise the boost, there is a screw on your boost controller, screw it down, it will raise the boost. DONT RAISE THE BOOST. Got it?

 Why exactly do you want to turn it down? Is it too fast? If it is give it to me and buy a Honda.
