Ok, found pics of a 05 model on the net, nothing to get excited about....:frown:
Oh well, guess we'll have to keep waiting for something decent from them.

I love the NSX
but I've to agree: Tamiya lost some inspiration. Nothing sensational from car dept. from ages. I WANT a F430 from Tamy! also a 599.

Ok some of u guys like that ugly thing, we're all different. Actually looking again its not that bad, its not as ugly as the Raybrig they released recently :icon16:
An ordinary car would be nice from Tamiya, one that an ordinary person drives on an ordinary road that is'nt smothered in decals.........

Dont get me wrong I like the NSX,but it seems like a distant memory when there was always something new to look forward too. There was the Enzo, then the Carrera and then nothing.

I seriously believe that a few of their kit engineers migrated over to Fujimi judging by the quality of my WRX STi kit. Something is amiss with Tamiya...

My thoughts exaclty...
Well...Something is amiss. Tamiya has started to make less and less kits, with less and less detail. Fujimi, has decided to make hott and current cars, with...GREAT detail.
Tamiya can make as many liverys of the 307 and NSX as they please. But if only they made new kits with detail that didn't REQUIRE an Effing PE set!!1 WTF Tamiya!!!!:nono:

i just want the die-cast sh*t disappeared,no more hope for Tamiya...at least we have FUJIMI kits to build, though they're not that good for the moment, they're making progress, not like Tamiya does.

I like the NSX a lot, but it sure has been a long long time since there has been anything on them. The tamiya street NSX from 1991 is the only nice one to build. the fujimi ones are a nightmare to get the bumpers and skirts right.
I agree that there is nearly no interest in car kits for tamiya, they produce so many more plane kits nowadays. With the cars like the Ferrari's and Porsche's, it's understandable that tamiya don't make any new ones, purely because of licensing costs. Like Tamiya didn't make the new cooper, I think they knew it wasn't going to be a good seller, their RC version didn't go shift a great deal.
Maybe tamiya has hope, but I don't think it will be with cars, unfortunately. We will have to wait and see, only time will tell.
