Draining radiator....

Does anyone have any idea why GM would put a panel right under the radiator where the fluid comes out? If you dont understand, look where the twist thingy is to drain the fluid. Its kind of annoying. I just sealed a thermostat gasket, and found out its leaking from the tube a little too, so I think its sealed now, but anyway. Does anyone get this?

So are you saying the petcock (twisty thing) is leaking?

There is a rubber O ring on that plastic piece that needs to be replaced over time. It may cost you all of 50 cents though.

just take off the lower rad hose, it will drain it just fine.
