for starters, put an after market air intake and cat back exhaust system. they are pretty cheep and easy upgrades. you should notice a deffinate increase in power and gas milage. I have found that summit performance has pretty good deals on most after market parts. after those try a throttle body spacer, then a performance chip upgrade, then maybe headers.

thanks, right now i have a flowmaster catback, hypertechPPIII but have to use the 87 octane option cause gas here now is 3 bucks a gallon for 93. k&n fipk gen II intake, and all spacer sellers say it won't work cause it makes the set up too tall to close the hood., i told them i didn't have a problem with the hood, but they say there are other issues than beeing too hi. what i'm looking for is FI upgrades, etc, a blower or turbo are not options, as my income is not unlimited, ie; joe lunchbox, and i'm trying to get the most for the least, but not cheap junk do nothin tricks.
thanks for the come back.

I definately want better gas mielage too, I drive from blossburg pa, to corning ny, every day for college, its about 45 miles one way for me, I currently get about 15mpg highway, I know there is a possible gas leak somewhere around the tank as I can smell gass near the tank but, no puddles, I'm assuming its just fumes leaking but, no time to pull the tank to check...

also... how do the jimmys, blazers, ect... do for mileage long term? mine has about 123000 on it, I put about 3000 miles a month on my vehicles...any common problems they have I should keep an eye out for?

with all the mods so far as i described in the previous post, in miami stop and go 25 mi to work, i'm getting 16-17, and hi-way/turnpike 23-24 mph. some days, due to the new note from my intake/exhaust evena tmy age, the foot has a mind of it's own, and i enjoy light to light runs with the rice boys with the torch lowered japanese cars with the megaphone mufflers. love the look on thier faces when the old guy beats them 4 out of 5. naturally, the speed limit is never broken, just how fast we reach it, highly unused road, i do not condone street racing AND RECOMMEND AGAINST IT!!!

I used to do that in my old jeep, that truck would "get up and go" we also didn;t really break the speed limits read my signature... I did how ever beat my buddies 84 porche 944 0-60 on some strips in pa here (totally legal) he did however win in the 1/4 mile strreatch...
