This game has grown on me. I'm more of a shoot em up or racing fan. although this game started getting extremly slow on the 360, load times took up to 5 min from the original 20sec and loaded every bloody time I was about to open a door etc. I was close to returning the game untill I found this. When you insert the game, hold down the A button until you see Bethesda Softworks, then depress the A button. It has something to do with when Oblivion is loading its chache's files on the system but they become fragmented and holding down the A button prevents this by clearing the cache.

Try it and see what happens, those who don't own it buy it. I've never really been an RPG fan apart from the odd Final Fantasy but this game is awsome!!!!!

he was talking about how i said i got it pirated, sorry bout that i guess it was kinda stupid to say it here. but if it runs properly i will buy the game, i just dont want to go through the hassle of getting it and returning it if it doesn't work, i'm only home from friday night to sunday night then i go back to my damn boarding school.

anyways, i have a 2.66ghz spu, 512 ram (not sure what type), but what im really worried about is my geforce 4 mx440 128mb video card.

if it doesnt work, ill wait for the summer when i actually will have a good ammount of time to play it, then i can get a korean friend of mine to buy me what i need to build myself a computer for alot cheaper. he got me an ati radeon x700 for $150 when it was $350 at future shop (canadian prices). but that damn thing wont fit in my computer because it's pci express and i dont have the slot for the extra little bit :(

from reading your specs dont bother. your combo wont do the game. you might get 10 fps with everything on low which is unplayable. you need at least a card that can run dx9 and 128mb of ram on it( that card cant i have one sitting in my closet), and 512 more memory wont hurt eather. your cpu is slow but will work if you have faster of the other 2. considering the game recommends a 3 gig cpu. oh and yes games like this is something to buy not steal they work hard to make this for the gamers and all pirating does is hurt them (unless your activision, :P)

i don't mind running the game on really low performance, if it looks like morrowind ill be ok with it until i build my own computer.

but i agree that pirating is bad, i used to download music, then i lost the ability (the school proxy makes it not worth the effort to try to get around it) and realised that it actually is stealing, now i buy all my cds and games. the only thing i have no problem "stealing" is windows xp pro. i needed it to use the internet at school and it costs $400. so i used someone elses cd and got a different cd key. i bought xp home with my computer so i figure it's their fault for not building in a networking service.

Yea 4 years ago I was a hard core pc gamer and we pirated every game that was out. It helped that my freinds worked at gaming/electronic stores. But I have now repented and spent thousands of $$$ on my xbox games and soon will do the same with my 360:) since I now work and have the $$$$ to do so.

Yea Pirate XP, Bill has plenty of $$ to go around:evillol:

regarding the specs of your computer Thats what I had about 3-4 years ago and even then I thought the performance was bad.

I don't even beleive that the PCI Vid cards still exsist lol don't bother with that.lol

I would get a 360 if I was you, I mean come on it has 3*3.2GHZ CPU's and a powerfull ATI, they don't even have pc's like this out yet and the good thing is that the graphics will only get better given the tech. It will save you time and money. who wants to upgrading there PC every year or so.

i got my computer2 and a half years ago lol, so it's not new at all. and i dont want to spend money on an xbox 360 yeat, mostly because i have like $80 canadian to my name lol. i'm waiting for the summer when i'll have a job that gets me more than $40 per week. i figure ill be able to upgrade my pc, pay of my europe trip and save some money for university. ill only really have to spend like $800 fir the pc because im not upgrading everything. and i need a computer for university (which will hopefully be next year) but if i chose to put it off for a year ill buy myself one.

anyways there are a few people at my school who have the game (legally, im surprised nobody has pirated it lol, for most of the new games everyone at my school gets it pirated but this one's different i guess) and it looks absolutely sick.

one thing, should i beat morrowind before getting into this game? are they related and do i need to know the storyline for that one before being able to understand this one?
