Hey all, i recently (as in over march break) went on a trip to europe, it was 9 days, i visited paris, lucerne (switzerland), lichtenstein (we stayed there for an hour, it can barely be concidered a country lol), vaduz (austria), and munich.
It was an awsome trip but i must say, the beer i had while in germany and austria was amazing. one particular beer tickled my taste buds, it's called schneider weise original, they make other beers but this is the one i tried. it is just absolutely delicious, the smell is very aromaticly pleasing, it doesn't bubble too much, you don't feel bloated after a .5L glass (the only size their bottles come in) and the taste is divine. if any of you ever visit germany, you have to try this beer, also im in the process of trying to find it in canada, you can visit their website at www.schneider-weisse.de. another one i found was good was the augustina helles beer, it's a lighter beer in color, same alcohol content. it was excellent, i enjoyed the schneider better but this was still above north american standard lol.
anyways, how about some beer, wine, etc, tastes, lets make this the alcohol thread for the best you've ever tasted.
p.s. never have the air canada wine, it is absolute crap, i had it and it was the worst wine i've ever tasted.

ever put grenadine syrup in a corona? it's called a bloody mexican and tastes like soda. also a shot of bacardi limon in a corona gets you pretty nice and just tastes like corona with lemon.

Newcastle brown ales and long island iced teas are my current poison. I usually have 6 of the first then another 4-5 of the latter and im done for the night.
When i was in germany, though, the Domhof in Speyer had an awesome dunkelbier that i drank a liter of. Being 14 or 15 and my first REAL drink....yeah... i couldnt feel my legs walking back to the car, and I totally zonked out as soon as my ass hit the seat. Good times!

By any chance was your tour put together by a group called ACIS??? When I was in Europe (back in the mid-late 90's... yes, I'm that old) we were in many of the same places. Started in a place whose name now escapes me, but went next to Munich, and also visited Vaduz (my first time, and best score ever, cosmic bowling... great story tied to that), Switzerland, Leichtenstein (yeah... more good stories... oh the memories).
As for the bier ;) I drank none... I instead preferred to stay sober and watch all the other dumbasses walk into the BIG YELLOW post boxes. Hahahaha, stupid bitch... still makes me smile thinking about her falling square on her ass.

ah yes, wait til college when you have no tolerance and after one beer, some frat guy can hit on you...
best thing. firsdt time drink with friends, ones you can trust. that way you're there and know what you like-ish. Heck, you may not even like beer.
aniwho, back on topic of the non-kiddies
Ah Europe, and you didn't invite me. Haven't been exposed to too much Canadian stuff, but I think it was called Canadian Blue, really great beer. I pretty much hate all domestics and Corona. Lived in Italy, trip to Germany was a blast indeed. Wine was great in Naples.
Fav stuff though is straight hard liquor. Vodka, Rum, or Tequila. I'll mix the basics and even take creative shots (alcohol with something weird in it) but if it's chillin at a party, it's ismple rum n' coke or code red vodka.

no it was put together by EF tours. i didn't actually drink to get drunk, i just drank to enjoy, we were allowed one drink with every evening meal but i felt i needed one at lunch (hey it's the only place where i can do it until i turn 18, quebec drinking age baby).
and i think the beer you're thinking of is Labatt Blue, or Molson Canadian. i don't find canadian beer that bad, it's ok, better than any american beer i've tasted but it's not as good as the european ones.

darn right it is and yes, Labatt Blue was it. I wasn't referring to you about college though, mainly miss chica on the last page. always being there for like, idk how many girls, i punched out enough guys that you should always get drunk with friends first or always have someone around.

Best beer I had when I was in Germany was Double Bach, a beer so dark you could kick the stein over, come back five minutes later and it still hadn't spilled out of the glass (exageration but it was a very dark beer). 21% alcohol by volume and sold in liter bottles. That stuff will jump out of the bottle and knock your teeth out.
However since you can't find alot of the best beers in America because they are smaller companies, Becks is widely available and still very good.
As a side note, if you drink the godforsaken liquid garbage that is Heineken then you are a total idiot and just someone who wants to be hip and trendy. I hope you all get poisoned from that piss you drink and die horribly.

I can't stand the taste of beer and find it rather nasty. I need at least five shots in me because then the taste and stuff doesn't really get to me much after that.

This thread delivers.
My beer of choise is either: Guiness, or Carlton Draught.
I love Guiness, but the day after my farts smell like something you achieve from combining the foul odurs of a garbage dump with some sort of anti-smell-good propellant.
