chime sound

I want to get rid of the chime sound on my truck I cant open the doors with that annoying sound any ideas???

Good luck. I tried for 3 years. I think its programmed in the BCM under the steering column and the dealer will have to turn it off.

Kenwood do you have an alarm? I have an alarm on my truck that does what your describing when I disable the alarm. To turn the chime off I turn the dial that controls the dash lights off. Hope that helps.

I was going to try a peice of thick tape over the speaker holes in the chime relay box. If it's the same as the 1998 type. But it might be more to it than that, the chime sure seems to be coming out of door speakers.I hate it too, your not alone.

03 and up are coming through the speakers. you can control the volume of the chime though the radio on the 03 and up. 99-02 are built in the BCM.
