Installing new long block into 1991 Accord. Elderly mom let car sit idle for about a year. Fuel pump would not activate to pick up gas....fixed. Now the fuel is making it to the injectors, but they will not pulsate. Car fires when fuel is sprayed into injectors. but quits running when dowse of fuel is gone.
Please help..........my mom needs a car.........and I am over my head.

Well, perhaps either all the injectors have stuck pintles, or they are not being told to fire. They used to have a "noid" light that you plugged into the injector harness and it would light if the injector was being told to fire. I don't know if places like Autozone would have them to loan out or not.
Are you sure you have fuel pressure to the rail? Seems unlikely that all injectors would stick at once, but is more likely that it is a problem that affects all injectors, like a stuck open fuel pressure regulator.
You might see if the injectors are "clicking" by listening to them with an engine stethescope instead of trying to find a noid light.....any other symptoms?....Good luck, glen
