Quick Question-jack stand points?

I'm replacing the coil springs and rear shocks and I have no clue where to put jack stands on my third gen. I usually put them next to the drums but it says I'll have to lower the rear end and all of this stuff. So where? in front of the axle? Behind the axle?

I would put them on the pinch welds in front of the rear wheels and use a jack to lower the diff.

I ended up putting jack stands underneath and in front of where the jack-up points are. So it's basically only held up by that fold of metal and the outer side closer to the ground effects.

The easy way to do this is to just push the jack stands against your jack and pull the stands UP to the fold of metal. It's a T shaped fold, then lower it down and pray it doesn't move.

It helps to have 2 jacks so one is a safety, next to one of the jackstands and the other is holding the rear end.

you're supposed to put them under the subframe where the rear control arms bolt in.

That was kind of uncalled for.

But yes, pinchwelds for the 1/4 and rockers panels :nono: That will bend really bad after an hour or so and I've even seen the welds pop.
