I came home from work and the car was running fine. I got up the next morning to go to work and it would not start. Acted like it was not getting gas. Have changed the fuel filter, fuel pump, and pressure regulator. Still nothing. There is gas making it to the engine and the engine is getting fire. It will start with starting fluid. Seems like the gas is not making it to the injectors. Anyone have thoughts on this? By the way, where is the brain located?

It's the Passkey II system I bet. Is the security light flashing? It's real common for these to fail. Do a search on here and you'll get the needed info you need to know.

passkey does not seem to be the problem either. Is there a reset button on them in the trunk somewhere?

No. Is the security lite staying as asked?

Finally got it going. It was the passkey. Had to do the leave the key in the on position until theft light went off and then it worked. Thanks for all the replys.

Yep, that's what I thought. It's funny to hear how many people start changing all kinds of things before looking for the security. One word of warning, it'll do it again and again and again!!!

I had this same problem with my Malibu for 2 years and was told I needed an ignition sensor ($500). I asked a friend (a chevrolet mechanic) about the problem and the first thing he wanted to know was whether I had put a new radio in my car. I had put an xm radio in my car about 2 years prior and apparently that interferred with my anti-theft system which cut off fuel to my engine on occassion. Removed the radio and problem is gone.

I also have the same problem. I've had my new radio in for almost three years now and I constantly have this same issue. Is there anyway to deactivate the anti-theft system? This has really began to get on my nerve. I don't know what the makers of this car were thinking when they designed it.

I've never heard of ANY link with no-start conditions and the stereo. I don't know why that would cause anything like that.
