I have a 99 that started making noise yesterday and sounded like a belt pulley. Ripped it apart and the idler was a bit loose but not bad. Fired it up after sitting all night and a racket was louder and coming from the timing belt case. Removed the cover to see no bearing at all on the idler wheel.
My question is... How do i get the sucker out of there> There is no room at all. Does the whole engine need to be pulled? Seems like no way to do this and not sure if there is a tightener for the belt that can be loosened to get the pulley out.
Any help is great.
Thanks all

Anybody got advise? Is there an easy way to change out the timing belt?
