Sources have it that as of today Hau Thai-Tang the former head of SVT has been given a new title. It would seem that his vision of updating the North American product line using cues from the past has not gone unnoticed. His new title will be that of Cleaning Technician Grade 3 at the Ford Atlanta Assembly Plant. His title allows him total control of the redesign the existing cleaning equipment. As his first order of business he plans on totally redesign the broom. He has decided to go back to the early days of Ford to accomplish this goal. Here is the picture in which he has drawn most of his inspiration from.

This is not only meant as an eye caching element it is also functional allowing for an additional 3 sweeping power due to the amount or force generated in the interlocking of the weave.
However due to the complexity of this design Ford will have to outsource the work to much more capable hands. The Amish have been given the contract and are expected to meet a weekly demand of one broom. This contract is for 7.5 million over a period of 6 months at which point the contract is expected to be renewed until all brooms in every Ford facility world wide has been replaced.

The end product will aid in the ability to achieve much cleaner facilities that are so desperately needed. This is due to Ford having to sell off many facilities in order to pay off debts encountered in the initial development phases of the replacement for the E-series vans.
