alternator question....

hey, just wondering if an alternator off a 91' chevy lumina 3.1 Liter would fit on a 88' chevy beretta 2.8 Liter? was just wondering about it because the beretta may need a another alternator and I don't have the money right now, but my friend has a lumina with good parts that I can get for free. thanks

I cannot tell you the difference, as both appear to be 100-105 amp alternators, BUT, if you look at Advance auto web site they use different alternators. May be the pullies, voltage regulator, but something is different.
