I checked the PCV valve the other day on my 02 Intrigue and found this white film on the bottom of the valve. What could be the cause of this?I last changed the valve about 20K ago.

That white film is due to water in the system. If you make short drives then that can blame the film on condensation in the crankcase. If you always go on long drives, more than 12 miles you may have a problem with a leaking intake gasket. I suspect condensation is the culprit however.

The car was sitting for about two weeks when I checked it,but it is usually my daily driver of about 120 miles a day.

It could still be just condensation. Even the old VW beetles would develop the white filmy stuff on the inside of the oil cap. (And they are air-cooled, no coolant).

Maybe just mark the level on the coolant tank and keep an eye on it. If the level drops it may have an intake leak, or some other coolant leak.

I have about 4K miles left on the 5yr/60K warranty.Maybe I can have them check it while it is still covered.

Not a bad idea just to be safe. It is probably nothing but if you can get it checked for nothing then have it done. Let us know what they find out.
