crappy trans sport help

ok my 94 trans port wont charge itself or shift. it is just stuck in 3rd. motor runs fine and all that. also the power windows wont go down.
please help me out here, i need to know if any of these are related let me know

I suppose your transport is a 3800 with 4T60 transmission.Third gear is the default condition for this transmission when both A and B solenoids are deenergized. So as a first step check "TCC/A/Bsol" connector for corrosion or being accidentally disconnected (?!?) .

Power window failure is often caused by faulty switch on driver side. Both +12v and ground are routed through the switch. ALso broken wire at the door-frame interface has been reported . I would also check the pwrwindow breaker in convenience center (you can interchange with one other for a test)
