I have a 1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme SL, 3.1 L V, and ever since i got it the brakes never felt good, i recently changed front calipers and rotors, and bled the brakes, all should be good, but when i drive, they arent as strong as they should be, and today i tested them in the driveway, under the engines idling it went forward, and i slamed on the brakes, the car stopped, but it was like a quick yet gradual stop, and i dont have anti-lock brakes, could there still be air somewhere, or is my power booster bad or something, any information on how to find out whats wrong, or if this is normal would be great.

P.S. Sorry for the long post, but brakes are a big issue, and they have to work.

This sounds like you have a bad booster on the brakes. It is not giving you any assistance. I would change it and see what happens. If you still have issues after that you may need to bleed the brakes all around the car starting with the right rear and then work your way around the car. This should insure that you have all the air out. If after doing that there is no improvement then the master cylinder would be the final item in the system that may be bad. I don't think you will need to go that far though.

Make sure the rear calipers aren't frozen on the sliders, common problem on these.
